Chile has been described as a land of contrasts. This is due our country is a biogeographical island with natural frontiers as the Atacama Desert-the dryiest desert in the world-by north; Antarctica by south; the Andes by east and the Pacific Ocean by west.
The narrow and long shape of the country allow us to find different regions such as: altiplano, mediterranean valleys, rain forest, glaciers and fjords in Patagonia.
